Charles Stoianovici, DMD, MSD

Biography:

Dr. Charles Stoianovici is a Periodontist and Implantologist. Dr. Stoianovici’s passion is to provide clinical excellence through modern and innovative techniques, as well as provide compassionate care for his patients in an educational, enriching, and transparent environment.

Dr. Stoianovici began his educational career at the University of California in Irvine where he achieved his B.S. in Chemistry and Minor in Biology. He then attended Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, where he obtained his DMD degree, as well as an induction into the highly prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honors Society. Dr. Stoianovici then received his Master’s Degree in Periodontology and Implantology from Virginia Commonwealth University at The Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. During his time in residency, he focused his research on Homing Mesenchymal Stem Cells for Enhanced Periodontal Regeneration.  Dr. Stoianovici is a transplant to Wisconsin because of his passion for outdoor activities which include fishing and hiking.

Through his distinctive research, Dr. Stoianovici was given the opportunity to present at various local and national meetings and research competitions, being awarded third place in the Billy Pennel Basic Science Competition from the Southern Academy of Periodontics, and as a Finalist at the Osteology Foundation. Dr. Stoianovici more recently presented his research in the highly prestigious Orban Competition at the American Academy of Periodontology. He spends a notable time on his research to improve and utilize the most current methods, materials and technology to enhance patient care.

In addition to his research, Dr. Stoianovici is an active member with the American Academy of Periodontology, Wisconsin Dental Association, American Dental Association, and a club leader with the Spear Institute. Dr. Stoianovici has been affiliated with the Special Olympics and Missions of Mercy Projects as a volunteer for the past 8 years, where he provides dental care for those locally in need. Dr. Stoianovici is passionate for utilizing modern and minimally invasive techniques to deliver distinguished care for his patients and providing dental care to those in need.

Dr. Stoianovici enjoys fishing, riding motorcycles, the outdoors, health & fitness, traveling, exploring local downtown Milwaukee, and spending time with his wife and two dogs.

 

Position Statement:

I believe that we as dentists have one of the best fields without question and in order to preserve what a phenomenal profession we have, we must work hard to advocate through action. The Greater Milwaukee Dental Association is one of the most active and engaged components in our state and I would be honored to serve on it’s board. I believe that with my background, I have a lot to offer in terms of ideas, innovation and leadership. I believe in the GMDA’s philosophy of advocating for community wide access to care and have a special interest in enhancing member engagement through providing exceptional and relevant continuing education opportunities. In summary, I am committed to upholding the values we all hold dearly, embettering our profession and look forward to advocate for you by serving on the GMDA Board.
